5 TOP TIPS to boost your Black Friday restaurant sales!

Black Friday is just around the corner which means deals and discounts are going to be everywhere the eye can see!

With shoppers likely to take advantage of big discounts, this opens up a window of opportunity to attract potential customers to your restaurant for a bargain… because there’s no way all that shopping won’t build up an appetite!

We know what you’re thinking… What can I do to avoid missing out on this opportunity!

Well, you’ve come to the right place as we’re going to share a few ideas with you here so you can compete with the big hospitality brands and make the most of this year’s Black Friday bonanza.

However, it’s not just within the restaurant walls that you need to think about. We predict the giants of the online ordering world (Just Eat, Deliveroo, UberEats) to go in deep with the discounts this year. It was only last year that UberEats were offering foodies on their platform a whopping 50% off! So, keep an eye out if you’re on any of these platforms!

Remember, Black Friday doesn’t just have to cost you money – use it as an opportunity to fill your business in quieter times!  E.g. offer a great deal for midweek only, or a voucher that has to be redeemed in January when you’re quieter.

Take inspiration from some of our team’s ideas and offer your customers something that’s too good to turn down both in your restaurant and online:

    • You can never go wrong with a freebie! Whether that be a free starter, dessert or drink with a main meal.

    • Entice your customers with money off their bill!

    • Offer vouchers for future visits, such as 30% off your bill next time we see you!

    • E-Gift cards! This is something we’ve seen work wonders with some of our clients in the past! For example a gift card with the value of £100 for £75 cost to the customer. A tiered structure works well to suit all budgets (£25 for £20, £50 for £35, £100 for £75).

    • Hold a raffle for your customers on Black Friday weekend, give everyone a free ticket as they walk into the restaurant and let the fun begin! We’ll leave choosing the prizes up to you but this is a great way to interact with your customers and build lasting relationships! P.S offering discounts upon future visits as prizes is a great way to encourage repeat custom!
