    Bottomless Food – High Impact!

Restaurant businesses are always coming up with new and exciting business models to make their brand sound new and exciting. But what about remodelling an existing concept?

Bottomless food is such a concept. Although it’s the same kind of principle as an all-you-can-eat buffet, somehow bottomless sounds more exciting and feels like a new experience!

A fantastic example of a restaurant that is killing this new idea is Moto Pizza in Chelmsford. The system is simple: you have a green light on your table, and when that light is on, waiters will bring round different flavours of pizza and you can pick and choose what you want a slice at a time. All this comes to just £16 per person (£12 if you’re eating weekday lunch times) for as many slices as you can handle!

Here’s just a few reasons why this is such an effective idea:

    • Unlike normal all-you-can-eat style menus, all the food is made to order rather than pre-prepared, so wastage is immediately reduced.

    • Customer waiting time is significantly reduced because pizza is being made non-stop!

    • The whole process of the light system and the surprise of not knowing what the different pizzas will be adds to the experience for the customer.

    • Customers will get to try lots of different flavours that they may not normally choose, so there’ll be no food envy or order regret which obviously improves the customer’s experience.

    • The longer you keep your customers eating pizza, the more drinks they will buy!

And to top it all off, the wood fire oven is visible from the restaurant, so customers can see the pizzas being prepared and cooked in front of their eyes which adds to the whole experience.

So to sum up our advice for this week…be more Moto!
